Welcome to
Ultimutt Doggy
Daycare!
Here’s a little bit about me and Reg:
I grew up in country Victoria and went to high school in Warrnambool. In my 20’s I decided to load up my little hatchback (which I still have) and drive across the Nullarbor to live in Perth. A year after moving to Perth I started experiencing health issues and was eventually diagnosed with MS on my 27th birthday. After I was diagnosed, it didn’t change my mind about living in Perth and I ended up building a life there and staying for 10 years! In 2021, out of the blue, I found out the company I had been building up my career with would be closing down. For the last six months of the company finishing up I would be working from home, and I figured it was the perfect time to get a puppy! Along came Reggie, and I can tell you it was love at first sight! With my redundancy on the horizon, I knew I needed a big holiday and obviously Reggie was coming with me. So the two of us took off in a van around Australia. We headed North to Broome, across to Darwin, over to Townsville and down the East coast to Warrnambool.
How did Ultimutt come about?
When I got Reggie, I knew he was going to be a big dog. I wanted Reg to be social, trained, and not seen as a “scary dog”. We did puppy preschool and two lots of training after that. Reg also attended doggy daycare in Perth twice a week from the moment he was old enough up until we left on our trip. I believe Doggy Daycare is the main reason he is so social and does not suffer from separation anxiety. While travelling I realised how tough it can be travelling solo with a dog. There weren’t many doggy daycares and the ones we tried to get in were booked out or did not take travelling dogs without a trial, regular bookings etc. So I decided to open my own doggy daycare in Warrnambool that offers space for out of town visitors, along with a safe and fun place for local dogs to come for a play. Another reason I chose this is that I love dogs (obviously) and couldn’t think of anything better than spending my days taking care of them and playing with them. Dogs have such a short time to live the best life, and I want to be a part of that for as many dogs as I can! I poured my blood, sweat and tears along with my money into opening Ultimutt Doggy Daycare in March 2024 and haven’t looked back.
At Ultimutt, we started with a simple goal: to provide a safe and fun environment for dogs to play and socialise. Socialising your dog has many benefits including building confidence, reducing anxiety and preventing reactivity.
Purchase three, five or ten sessions and receive discounted daily rates. The sessions can be used as regular as you like and do not have an expiration date.
Are you visiting from out of town and would like to go out for a nice dinner? Or a day trip to one of the National Parks on the weekend? We offer pet care out of hours so you can go enjoy yourself knowing that your furry loved ones are taken care of!
Is your furry friend looking a little bit scruffy at the moment? We are here to help! For just $5 for short hair or $10 for long hair per session, we can keep your dog’s coat looking sleek and maintained between visits to the groomers!
